After its recent US Premiere in Chicago and the screenings in Seattle,the multi award winning film Tides about the River Foyle is now official selection at Belfast Film Festival.
The film, directed by Alessandro Negrini has garnered a remarkable raft of awards and praise from film festivals around the world. TIDES is the visionary and dreamlike portrait of the River Foyle, narrated from the point of view of the river, in a sort of magical and surreal autobiography. The film, directed by award winning director Alessandro Negrini, won Best Documentary Award in Malta last December. Since its release last June, Tides won 6 international award. It has recently scooped the International Documentary Award at Foggia Film Festival, where the filmwas awarded by renown film director Michele Placido (Romanzo Criminale - Criminal Novel)



The film recently also won the Special Mention Award in Rome at On The Road Film Festival, Special Mention for Best Film at Milan International Film Festival, Best Cinematography Award at Sole Luna Film Festival in Palermo and Best Film Soundtrack at Treviso Doc Festival. The voice of the River Foyle is provided by former Magee College drama student, Emma Taylor. Thanks to her performance, Tides won the Best Protagonist Award in Rome at On The Road Film Festival.
